Yummy Banana Oatmeal Shake


I tried this yummy recipe from the Chiquita Banana website (via good ol' Pinterest!) So yum!

Almonds, cooked oatmeal, bananas and yogurt meet up in your blender for a power breakfast. Drink this Banana Oatmeal Smoothie before your morning exercise routine and you’ll have the energy you need to get through your workout.

Ingredients:

  • 2   whole Chiquita Bananas (best with brown flecks on peel)
  • 2   cups Ice
  • 1/3   cup Yogurt - preferably Greek yogurt flavored with honey
  • 1/2   cup Cooked oatmeal
  • 1/3   cup Almonds

Joe Fresh

Speaking of Joe Fresh, I have a Superstore so close I could spit on it so obviously I have a few things of theirs in my wardrobe.  In early Spring I got this faux-leather moto jacket and love it:

I'm thinking about getting these because they are kind of perfect to wear with everything:

And I already got their big, white, floppy, wide brimmed hat :)


New Dress!!


Got this new Calvin Klein dress from Winners the other day.  I didn't have a reason to buy it but they say not to wait for an occasion to start looking.
And I'm glad I got it as now we are hot into the wedding circuit and it will get it's use.
Ava (my 5 year old) actually picked it and got me to try it on.  Not sure I would have thought it would look good--but it totally does!
Yay!
I think I'll pair it with my nude Joe Fresh cork platforms.  And some kind of flats for dancing later--of course!

General Looks I'm Loving...


 Jeans worn casually but with a pointy toe?  I really like.  Here is a sleeveless and long-sleeve (rolled-up) version.  
Gwynnie's shoes are making me hot! I just got a kinda similar pair last night. That will be my next post.  Promise
 
A cutoff is killing me right now.  (Need to get these gams tanned and shapely). I also love a sport short worn dressy like above and below

Wedding Shoes!

Got the dress now I need the accessories...yay! Best part!  Shoes always fit and look good.  And they rarely make your butt look big...lol!
Here's some contenders:
 So here's my dress.  Calvin Klein.  You know, designer...#casual
 Love the cute rosettes of these ones and think the colour goes well with the champagne colour of my dress. From shopruche.com
 Love the big of bedazzling on these, especially since my dress has a bit of bedazzling on it at the one side.  And a peep toe?  Yes! Also from Ruche.
 Rose gold, glittery and diamonds at the toe?  Yes! Again, Ruche.
 Our wedding takes place on a jette so I may need a flat for ceremony and heel for reception.  The colours of this bling goes with bling on dress. Source unknown.
 These are a forerunner.  From Aldo.  Love them sooooo much! Colour is perfect;.
 Another adorable flat that claims to be really comfy due to elastic on back of sandal.  Love the polish too! Source unknown.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Nom nom nom...these are so good.  Made them yesterday.  Made a Vine about them.  They are that good!

Dallas doesn't normally like cookies, especially mine (he's ridiculous!) but he brought a whole container of these to work today.  Best day ever for him.  AND me as there is a whole 'nother container left for me. :)

INGREDIENTS

cup granulated sugar
3/4
cup packed brown sugar
1
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
teaspoon vanilla
1
egg
2
cups whole wheat flour
1
teaspoon baking soda
1/2
teaspoon salt
1
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
(For half the chocolate chips I substituted the little mini MiniEggs.  Sooooo cute.  And a bit crunchy because of candy shell....yuuuuummmmmmm....)

Heat oven to 375ºF.

Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. (I used a little extra warm water into the batter as I went as it was a bit dry and crumbly).

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
