Clad & Cloth Came!

Ok, so in my last post I talked about how I excited I was about placing my Clad & Cloth order and it finally came!
I am so pumped.  Here is my initial thoughts and I will for sure be using the pieces in OTTD (outfits of the day) soon---I promise! (I really do!!)
So, it came like this. CUTE:
And then inside the bag the items were in two piles and wrapped in yarn.  Adorable.
Here's the white peplum.  Haven't tried on but I'm a US size 10-12 and this looks like it might be a bit small/short on me and I got the large.:
The denim dress.  Again not tried on as I'm a bit scared.  Looks a little narrow through hips for me.  I hope not! Again a size large.
The striped thermal.  Look at them little arms.  I like that they are 3/4 but I hope it fits.  We shall see:
This is the blush sweater.  It only comes in one size.  Not very big.  Definitely a cropped sweater which is fine.  I'm wearing it right now with some higher-waisted Levi's of mine.  But I definitely need higher waisted jeans for this look.  Would also look great with a high waisted skirt.
Here's me in it:
This is the bomber.  Pretty petite for a large as well.
This is me in it.  I can button it up but it's not roomy and it's definitely cropped:
I also ordered a cream sweatshirt that was for sale but a very nice lady from Clad & Cloth emailed me after my order went through to let me know that it was sold out.  So they not only credited my Visa but also gave me a coupon code for 25% off my next order.  Awesome.
I'm thinking of getting this babydoll:

As I just got this babydoll for Ava from Joe Fresh two days ago and she is so cute in it. Mother/daughter dresses? Oui/Non?

I'll keep you posted on my outfits and on what else I order! :)
Overall verdict: great prices, and you totally get what you pay for (in a good way).  If you are taller than me (5'9") or are bigger than a U.S. size 12, I don't know if I would order as the large may not fit you and not all items are available in XL.

Hope you enjoyed!

Clad & Cloth Order

ERMAGERD! I haven't been this excited about an online shopping spree order in a long time. Then again, I haven't placed an online order in a looong time! But for reals, this one is great!
I found Clad & Cloth on Cara Loren's blog the other day and the striped shirt she was wearing while she was holding her new little baby really caught my eye.  I am a mom and always out and about holding babies, lifting groceries, bending over to tie shoe laces and flopping out on the couch to watch Netflix, so when I go to shop for my day-to-day gear I keep my actual lifestyle in mind.  And cute, comfy, casual are all things I look for.

Clad and Cloth clothing are definitely that.  They are loose, stylish, utilitarian and simplistic. And another thing: they are affordable! I feel like the price is comparable to Forever 21 in price but in style and curation (re: not having to go through 100 pages of crap crop tops to get to a shirt you might actually wear) it's more like Madewell or J.Crew.
Of course the one Cara is wearing on her blog (pictured above) is sold out! So I just ordered a bunch of other awesome stuff and it's on it's way!  There's not a ton in their shop but I literally could have bought all of it!
So, I'll try it all on for you guys and give you a little review in case you are interested in this kind of stuff:
Blush Sweater, $24 CAD

Drawstring Denim Dress, $34 CAD

Striped Thermal, $28 CAD

Varsity Jacket, $26 CAD

Ivory Sweatshirt, $15 CAD (sale!)

White Peplum, $32 CAD

Too good to be true?! We shall see!

Wheels & Dollbaby

I must have been scrolling through pictures of one of the Jaggers when I first noticed her clothing.
A skirt maybe or was it a dress? Bianca? Or was it Jade? No, it was on Sea of Shoes website when I noticed Georgia May's perfect shiny floral pencil skirt that I sat up, rivited. This wasn't the normal over-the-top designer fodder that only looks good on mannequin thin, rich celebrities at parties.  This was palpable, something I could understand.  Something I could even see myself wearing.

I clicked the link that took me to one of my new favourite online clothing websites.  And I haven't even bought an item yet.
Wheels and Dollbaby is the name. And sexy 40s/50s era pin up slink is the game.  And it's a game I love to play well!
I've spent the past few months stalking their site and looking at the perfectly proportioned leopard print dresses, the sexy silk floral body cons, and the seductively sedate sweaters and I just can't get enough!

The dresses on Wheels and Dollbaby made me thing of this movie starring Blake Lively and Chloe Grace Moretz that I watched recently.  Lively's character Glenda is totally a Wheels and Dollbaby type of gal and she is absolutely eye-catching in her sexy/trashy late 70's bad-girl gear.  Please enjoy some still from the movie below and hopefully they will inspire you to get down with your bad self.

It's Been A Long Time And I've Missed YOU! / Forever 21 Canada is Killing It in the Blouse Dept.

I know, I fell off the wagon again.  Not really.  Sobriety is no laughing matter (neither is ACTUALLY falling off a wagon--OUCH!).  What I mean to say is, YIKES, it's been a while.

But I'm back and more ferocious then ever!  My fashion bug is still very much inside me (parasite much?) and I'm craving a lot more from myself and this site.  So stay tuned for some fun.

But in the meantime, here's some beautiful blouses I just found on Forever 21 Canada that I think we can all agree will put some much-needed pep in January's step.

Bell sleeves and the beautiful detailing at the top. Simple, pure and feminine.  Love this for spring!
Grey as a dove and simple as a dream.  A menswear inspo pocket to boot? In love.  Wishing it wasn't elastic at the bottom though.  Is that ever flattering?
Perfectly pink and with the most beautiful button detailing down the back.  Devil's in the details!
Gorgeous simplicity: hint of a high/low and lovely sleeve embroidery.
Oversize white button-up.  Every girl needs one.  But is that tiny collar going to make me look hippier? (Does this collar make me look fat? LOL!)
A floral sweatshirt-inspired shirt.  Ghetto fabulous!  This is street style brought to the suburb and I simply CAN'T (in the best way possible).
Did somebody say Simple Summer Slip Shirt? (Not 5 times fast, I bet!)

And some skirts for good measure:
Perfectly plain pencil.
And scuba material navy circle skirt:

Forever 21 is often a wasteland of crop tops and distressed denim that even a Russian mail-order bride would consider outre, but sometimes I get on the site and am happily surprised.  Today was that day people, and it makes my heart sing!

Body Shop Haul

I luuurve The Body Shop and I did some shopping yesterday as they had a sale...and anyway, I got so many great things that I love and always reach for.  And I'm going to share them with you:
I've been using this in the shower and It's amaze! All the scrubs I got are salt scrubs which means they are super exfoliating and because they are The Body Shop formulation, they are also super nourishing.  And the smell!!!! I could eat it! Perfect fresh, summer scent!

2 x 200 ml Body Butters.  One is a Christmas scent that was on sale for $5 and is in the scent Cranberry Joy (sweet and tangy Cranberry smell that you can taste on your tongue!) and Passion Fruit (OMG! Yum! Can only be described by me as "Purply Floral.")

And because I love that Passion Fruit scent so much, I got the Body Wash.

A 300 ml TUB of Shea Body Scrub.  Smells warm and nutty.

Another 300 ml hub of Olive Body Scrub which is more of a lotion-y scrub over a salt scrub so I'm looking forward to trying that out.  Smells clean and gender-neutral (and not at all like the olive bar at your local grocery store).

THIS PRODUCT!!! I was looking for a shimmery dry oil and have actually been trying to use my Shoppers Optimum Points to get a Nuxe version that I saw in Lou Lou magazine last month, I think?  But you have to go to special Shopper's and none of the three I've been to in the last 2 weeks are "special" enough so...long story short...screw them! I got this one waaaayyy cheaper and I am absolutely in love.
Here it is straight from the bottle, and then you rub it in and it gives you a subtly bronzy shimmer that makes your tan look fabulous, your skin look healthy, and gives you a glow.  Beautiful! Out of all the products I mention in this post, I recommend this one the most!

A 400 ml TUB of Coconut Body Butter.  The smell is tropical, coconut deciousness!

And this Christmas leftover came home with me too.

Originally $25 (which is still awesome), out was on deal for $12.50 and it comes with a mini shower gel (love to travel with The Body Shop body washes, they double as bubble bath for the kids as well!), a 50 ml body butter, a little lip butter, and an Eau de Toilette.  All in the incredibly yummy, girly, sweet, summery scent of their Strawberry line,  And a matte red heart tin to boot!

And here's an instagram-y picture of this months LOU LOU with some orange knock-off Ray Bans from the beach in Mexico.  By the way, have you checked out my Instagram? I'm roxcandymountain... :)
